Eisenhower Matrix
Sort your tasks by urgency and importance to know what to do, schedule, delegate or drop.
Your matrix
How to use the Eisenhower Matrix
Add each task with a title, an optional description and a quadrant: urgent and important, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, or neither. Drag a task from one quadrant to another to reclassify it, or edit it from the form. Your tasks are saved directly in your browser.
How to prioritize with the matrix
Handle urgent and important tasks first. Schedule dedicated time for important but not-yet-urgent tasks before they become urgent. Delegate urgent tasks that aren't important whenever you can. Finally, consider dropping or postponing anything that is neither urgent nor important.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Eisenhower Matrix?
It's a prioritization tool that sorts tasks along two dimensions, urgency and importance, into four quadrants that tell you what to do, schedule, delegate or eliminate.
How do I move a task to another quadrant?
Drag the task card to the column you want, or click "Edit" and change the Quadrant field in the form.
Where are my tasks stored?
Your tasks are stored locally in your browser. They remain available as long as you use the same browser on the same device, but are not synced elsewhere.
How is this different from the regular task list?
The task list sorts tasks by priority and due date in a table, while the Eisenhower Matrix visually sorts each task by urgency and importance to help you decide what to tackle first.
