How this notes board works
Click the “Take a note…” bar to create a note with an optional title. Pick a color to categorize it at a glance, add one or more tags to group related notes, pin your most important notes so they always stay on top, and use the search bar or the tag filter to find a note instantly. Everything is saved directly in your browser — no account needed.
Tips for a tidy board
Use color as a lightweight category (e.g. yellow for ideas, blue for work, green for personal), and use tags for anything more specific — a project name, a client, a topic. Click a tag on a note (or in the filter bar) to instantly see every note that shares it. Pin only what truly needs to stay visible, and delete notes once they're no longer useful to keep the board easy to scan.
Frequently asked questions
Where are my notes stored?
Your notes are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). They remain available as long as you use the same browser on the same device, but are not synced elsewhere yet.
Can I change the color of a note?
Yes, open a note and pick a color from the palette at the bottom of the editor. The color is saved instantly.
How do tags work?
While editing a note, type a word and press Enter (or a comma) to turn it into a tag; a note can have several. A filter bar appears above the board as soon as any note has a tag — click a tag there, or directly on a note, to show only notes with that tag.
How do I pin a note?
Hover a note (or open it) and click the pin icon. Pinned notes always appear at the top of your board, in their own section.
What happens if I delete a note by mistake?
Deletion is immediate and permanent in this first version, so make sure to confirm before deleting an important note.
Will my notes sync across devices?
Not yet — this first version only saves notes on the device and browser you're using. Cross-device sync is planned for a future version.
